Sothink SWF Easy - Using Shape

Add Shape

There are following ways to add shapes to your animation:

  • Use built-in resources
    Select the shape file you like in the Resource panel and choose it to canvas.
  • Use files from a swf file
    You can directly import shapes in *. wmf or *.emf format from a swf file. In the resource panel, click the Sothink SWF Easy button and choose a swf file in your computer, which lists under Local. When you double click this file, the program will decompile its components and list them below. Then you can select a shape and drag it to your animation.
    Note: If you want to import the shape in format *.svg, you need to use the command "File -->Import".
  • Draw using tools
    Switch to the Drawing tools, you can choose one from the drawing tools to draw a shape.

Edit Shape

Select the shape on canvas, and the Properties panel will turn to be the one for shape. There are several tabs in Properties panel. Under each tab, you may set many properties for the shape and edit it to be the one you like.

Sothink SWF Easy

Properties

In this tab, you can input the name of shape and check the "Serve as mask" option to check to use the element as a mask layer. You can define other properties including position and size setting.

Line

In this tab, you may edit the surround line of the shape.

Fill

In this tab, you can edit fill color as you like.

Color Transform

In this tab, you can transform color of an element. When you finish transformation, the whole element turns to be one specified color you transform.

Action

You can add link to shape by using ActionScript. Besides that, some other event or action could be added to shape as well.

Save Shape

Right-click the shape and choose "Export" from the context menu. This shape will be saved as *.gls format. So you can use it directly in other animations.
