- How can I select the elements, which are covered by others?
You can use Tab/Shift+Tab to select the elements.
- How to edit a shape?
After you add a shape to the canvas, the Properties panel will turn to be of the shape's and list the setting items for the shape. There you can edit the shape.
- How to edit a button?
After you add a button to your animation, the Properties panel will turn to of the button's and list the setting items for the button. Click here to see more detailed information about editing a button.
- How to set an element as background?
You can set any element as background by the following steps:
Step one: Right-click the element and choose Set as Background in the context menu.
Step two: In the pop-up dialog box, click the drop down list button. We provide seven types of position for your desire: Centered, Stretched, Top Right, Top Left, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, and Original. Choose one and click OK.
Tips: If you are not satisfied with the former position, right-click the element and select Change Background in the context menu.
Empty: Delete the element;
Restore: The element will back to the original place, and undo your former Setting as Background operation;
Position: Open the pop-up dialog box and set the position again.
- How to add links to elements?
Select an element, click the tab "Action" to open the Action dialog. First select "press" from the "Events" list, then check the button "" to choose "Open URL...", enter the URL in the Open URL box, and choose a target. - How to add links to scenes?
Select a scene from scene panel, the property panel will be displayed. In tab Properties, click the tab "Scene" from left bottom to enter the related panel, enter the URL in the URL box, and choose a target. And you can check the option "Apply to all the scenes" to add this link to all scene.
- How to add a preloader to my animation?
A preloader is to show the loading process of a Flash animation. In SWF Easy, you can easily add a preloader to your Flash animation. The program offers some preloaders for your free choosing. Click the empty place on the canvas and the Properties panel will turn to be of the whole movie's. There you can select one of the predefined preloaders to add into your animation.
The preloader won't show if the download speed is very high. Do put the preloader in the first scene, followed by the real Flash content in the next scenes. You can also modify or replace the preloader elements.
- How to add image to my artwork?
There are following ways to add images:
Method one: Use built-in resources
In Resources panel, choose Background>static>general. Then browse folders in it and select one image you like. Last, drag the shape to canvas.
Method two: Use files on your system
In File panel, browse and choose your swf file. There is a sign + in front of it. Expand it and SWF Easy will decompile it and list its element. Select an image in the Images folder and drag it to your movie.
Method three: Import Image file
Click the Import button in tool bar, you can import standard bitmap image format: BMP , JPG , PNG.
- Can I edit image in my artwork and how?
Sure you can. When you import an image, "Import Image" dialog will deliver a message to you on whether to import as normal image or as background image. You can do all the things bellow:
Reshape: Select the Reshape tool on Toolbar. Then click the shape on canvas to edit it.
Select the image on canvas and right-click it. In the context menu, select element Properties... You will see the Element Properties dialog. In this dialog you can have following edition for the image:
Transform: You can rotate, skew or resize the shape by using the Transform tool in Tools panel. And you also can set the values in the Position and size tab.
Change fill transform: Choose the Fill Transform tool and click the image. You can change the fill style more freely. Surely the values can be set in Fill tab too.
Replace fill: In Fill tab, you will see all the images used in this movie. You can choose another one to replace current image.
- Can I edit movie clip in my artwork and how?
Sure you can. Select the movie clip on canvas and right-click it. In the context menu, select Element Properties... You will see the Element Properties dialog. In this dialog you can have following edition for your shape.
Replace text
In Element Properties dialog, select Text tab. Here you will see an "Edit Text" button. Click it and you can change the content in Text area. Also in this dialog, you can set the font, color, style, offset and character spacing.
Replace shapes
You can replace the shape in current element. Choose the element on canvas. Right-click it and choose "Element Properties" from context menu. Switch to Shape and click button "Replace Shape...". In the dialog "Select Shape", you can browse and choose a shape file from your computer or decompile a swf file and use its shape directly. The folder "Stock Resources" stores the shapes have been used in current movie. You also can select one to replace the current shape.
Replace sound
Select Sound tab. The sounds used in the button will be listed like Symbol 1(Over), Symbol 2(Down), ... Click button "Replace Sound...". In the dialog "Select Sound", you can browse and choose a sound file from your computer or decompile your authored swf file and use its sound directly. The folder "Stock Resources" stores the sounds that have been used in current movie. You also can select one to replace the current sound.
Add link to movie clip
You can add link to movie clip by using ActionScript.
Right-click the movie clip on canvas and choose "Action...". You will see the Action dialog. Choose one event on the event list. For example, we choose "press". Then choose "Open URL" on the right. And input the link's URL address here. Set the target as _blank or _self or input the window's target name.
- How to find more resources (Shape, Button, Image, Sound, and etc.)?
Three methods provided for you to find more resources.
Method one: We support importing existing vector graphics such as SVG and WMF/EMF and common image formats including BMP, JPEG and PNG. You can find in our site. Later on, we will provide more.
Method two: Import external resources from SWF files. Simply browse and choose a swf file in the Local category. There will be a sign "+" before a folder in the folder tree. Expend it and then you can see and use the resources in it.

- How to publish my animation?
Click the " Publish " button on Toolbar or use command "File --> Publish" to open the Publish Wizard window.
